That 9/11 Day

That 9/11 Day

Once again it's Fall and ten years later.  We're reminded of those fallen on this chilling day, as they forever hold space in the history of this country and in our personal memories of how we became forever changed.

On this day ten years ago, I remember arriving at the gym, entering the building at the same time, with my class instructor, who told me that she was late because she had just seen a report that a plane hit a building in New York.  "An airplane? I asked.  A small plane?  How does that happen?"

Upon returning home, America was in a state of emergency.  From my livingroom, I stood paralyzed in complete disbelief.  I couldn't sit down, and pangs of anxiety filled my soul, my hands moving from my head to my mouth, and my shirt was soaked in tears.

It's still chilling ten years on.

As we continue to heal, hold your loved ones close, know you neighbors, be kinder, volunteer, be grateful.  You are Blessed, We are Blessed.

God Bless America.
